Fitting a Shower Tray With Wall PanelsIn this installation the custoimer has run the panels down onto the top surface of the shower tray. There is a trim on the market that can be used where there is a problem with excess movement of the shower tray but in most situations it is possible to install the panels using a good quality silicone sealant. The tray needs to be installed first and sealed to the existing wall to ensure no moisture can get down behind it and the wall. Smear the silicone up the wall slightly so that there is a skirt of silicone running around the tray. Run the panels down over this and the seal again on the front where the panels meet the shower tray. This results in a very neat finish as can be seen in the above image. The tray has been installed in conjunction with Firenze Grey waterproof panels. |
