7 Fold Shower Screen

The design of your bath will sometimes have an effect on the type of screen you can fit to use in conjunction with your shower.

A 7 fold shower screen is idea in that it it offers a reasonable showering area due to its size but also folds back to avoid "cutting the room in half." Each panel is hinged and has a seal at the bottom which touches the bath under pressure. The tighter the shower screen is to the bath the better the seal achieved (usually). However a tight seal makes moving the shower screen more difficult so a balance has to be struck. Another problem that can occur with some shower screens is that they leak between the joints as seal at the bottom of each panel is not continuous.

The Outasight can do everything that a 7 fold shower screen can do and more. Its showering area is larger but it folds down into a box that is just 63 x50 x 1400mm.

The effectiveness of the screen can be hindered by features on the bath such as raised soap dishes which can stop the screen from sealing properly.
