Outasight - Installation

Installation instructions for the Outasight follow or you can also watch the installation video here.

Equipment required: spirit level, drill, screwdriver, wall fixings and screws, silicon sealant.

The Outasight can be fitted to either end of the bath.

1

Using a spirit level, mark a vertical line approx. 20mm in from the bath edge.

The Outasight is universal and can be fitted at either end of the bath.

use spirit level

2

Open the Outasight box and place against the wall in line with the mark you have just made. Ensure that the box is resting on the top surface of the bath.

3

Mark through the holes in the box for the screw positions.(N.B. You may wish to ask someone to hold the extended box steady for you while you carry out this procedure).

4

Drill the holes the appropriate size recommended by the make of fixings you have chosen to use for your particular wall surface and insert fixings.

5

Run two beads of silicone along the back of the box as shown.

6

Return the box to the wall in line with your drilled screw holes(again, you may wish to ask for help to support the unit whilst you do this). Screw the unit to the wall, ensuring you do not overtighten the screws or you could bend to profile.

To check the installation, unclip the curtain.

8

Pull the curtain (as shown) until it is fully extended. The curtain should be pulled towards the inside of the bath.

9

The curtain should align along the inside of the bath slightly below the height of the bath.

10

If the curtain is not below the surface, return the curtain to its starting position.  Now, unscrew (anti-clockwise) the piston arm as shown.

11

Once undone, you will see that there are two washers on the end. Remove one washer.

12

Screw the arm back on to the unit and repeat steps 8 and 9.

If more adjustment is required then repeat steps 10 to 12 removing the second washer.

Leave the unit for 24 hours to enable the sealant to cure and your unit is then ready for use.

repeats steps 8 and 9

Although the curtain has been designed and manufactured to repel water, a light spray of Dettol mould and mildew spray is required to keep the curtain as new. Spray each side of the curtain and put away overnight. The next day give the curtain a quick rinse and it will stay in pristine condition.
