Outasight - ComponentsAll of the components of the Outasight are available as spares - see our spares page for details
1. The Outasight shower curtain. The shower curtain attaches to the inside of the casing via a velcro strip making removal and replacement very easy. The curtain is heavily pleated and of a ringless design. Older curtains utlised an end strip (2) inside the last pleat but the new design has a pull handle and a push plate on the end of the curtain for opening and closing. 2. Curtain End StripThis is available on our spares page but is not shown in the diagram as the new design Outasight shower curtain has this built into pull handle/push plate. 3. End CapThe End Cap performs two functions: it has a spigot that is used to anchor the shower curtain rod and also it has two small clips that help keep the unit tightly shut when not in use. 4. Gas StrutThe stainless steel Gas Strut helps push the arm up when the unit is opened and also locks it in place when in use. 5. Strut BitsThese are the pivoting brackets that attach the strut to the casing attached via an allen key screw. 6. HingeThe hinge performs two functions: it is the pivot around which the arm opens and it also has a spigot which is used to anchor the shower curtain rod. 7. Curtain ClipThis holds the curtain inside the fixed casing while the open arm is lowered and clipped shut via the End Cap. 8. MagnetThe magnet fits between the last two pleats of the curtain and slides along the shower curtain rod. There is a magnet inside the end of the rod which then helps hold the curtain out when it is fully extended. 9. Shower Curtain RodThe shower curtain rod is housed inside the opening arm and attaches to two spigots: one on the Hinge and one on the End Cap. The shower curtain rod is made from aluminium. |
