Shower Curtain

If you have a shower over your bath then you the most obvious solution is to install a shower curtain to keep the water of the bathroom floor. They come in a wide range of colours, styles, materials, sizes and are ideal if you are on a tight budget. No matter how neatly you fold a shower curtain it is always going to be highly visible in your bathroom but if you want something a lot less bulky then the Outasight is the ideal replacement.

The images below show a bathroom that initially had a shower curtain. Even when pushed back as far as possible along the shower curtain rod it still has the undesirable effect of making the room look smaller by protruding into the room from the wall and "cutting" into the visible space (left image).

The curtain rod is also permanently on display and spans the room from wall to wall.

The curtain and rod were replaced with an Outasight (right) which is a much neater option. It requires fixing to just one wall and negates the need for a separate rod as this is contained within the unit itself.

A shower curtain needs to be left open to dry after use to prevent mould growth, and needs to be taken down and washed regularly. They are however very cheap, and will pull out to the full length of the bath. Powerful showers can also cause lightweight shower curtains to flap around and make them stick to your body. The Outasight curtain is very heavily pleated and so will not stick to you - another plus point.
