Ceiling Panel TrimsIf the ceiling is the only part of the room to be decorated then it is sometimes beneficial to use a trim to finish off around the edges. This is not compulsory but it does mean that the cutting does not have to be as accurate as it would be with just a bead of sealant around the perimeter.
Decos Trims are designed to be used with Decos panels and Grosfillex Trims with Grosfillex panels. The trims commonly used with ceilings are:
Grosfillex Coving is a 2 part trim and Decos coving 1 part. Both are designed to be used to finish-off wall panels. It is possible to use them in conjunction with ceiling panels - the easiest way of using them, in our opinion, is to cut off the locating chanel at the back and just stick them in place once the ceiling panels have been fitted. The same applies to Decos and Grosfilex Capping Trims. A mitre block or mitre saw is needed to cut the corners.
Grosfillex Multi Trim can be adapted to be used with Grosfillex panels on ceilings by cutting off the leg of the backplate (by running a craft knife along the length, the leg will snap off cleanly). The backplate is then stuck, screwed or stapled into place. Next, the panels are installed and then the cover section is pushed into the backplate to finish-off the job. |
